Sunday afternoon I enjoyed making this cowboy birthday card for our pastor’s 50th birthday. The theme for the surprise party was “western” so I pulled out some scraps from the retired paper kit, Dakota. The retired stamp set “just a number” was perfect having the “Over the Hill?” sentiment. I cut apart the sentiment & pieced it onto the right of the card.
I also pulled out the exclusive retired “Stars Shine Bright” stamp set from the Dallas Convention. Did you know you can bend My Acrylix stamps to change up the look? I thought my boot needed a little something…so I bent the straight star border to make the design on the boot. {**Tip for the Day: Try bending your My Acrylix stamps**}
I think the cowboy hat added a nice touch to the punchline inside. I really love it when I have the perfect stamp to customize a birthday card. (Who knew Pastor was a “Closet Cowboy”?!)
Thanks for stopping by!
Very nice, Beth. I didn’t even have time to make a card. Since I’m going through stuff, so I can downsize, wondered ifthere’s anything you could use? I know I can’t take it all with me. LOLLet me know if you want to come and look.Shirley
